…but I just posted this a few weeks ago, and it’s one of my edits. See, here’s the original. I understand that you guys are really sick and tired of hearing about it, but I’m also tired of spending a lot of time finding and editing pictures to post and then this happening all of the time!

Wake up and realize that you’re on Tumblr, a site about sharing.

If you took the pictures yourself, yes, you’d have an absolute claim to them. But taking pictures, applying a few curves adjustments and playing with the levels does not give you any substantial level of ownership.
and if we’re to forget that tumblr is for sharing and set aside the whole “let’s just be nice”,

then we can say this.

It’s already one thing that you post pictures without the proper credit at the bottom.
someone did work really hard to take these pictures, remember?

You drag them to your desktop, open them in photoshop for 5-10 minutes at most, and them upload them. And so now you’re mad that someone reblogged you?

any real harry potter fan wouldn’t laugh at another story, another series, another world that, for reasons you simply do not need to know or accept, is very important to a whole lot of people.

It’s really a sad thing, seeing that people ridicule the hard work of many, many people, from stephanie meyer, all the way down to the set directors and colorists and special effects guys who produced movies that are achievements by anyone’s standards.

I also don’t care to what extent it is “in good fun” or “just a joke”. It exists, and that is enough for it to be a major, pathetic bummer.
